Outlook Express 6.0 Secure Configurations
New Account Set Up
- At the New account Wizard, enter your account information
- Make sure that you DO NOT select the SPA setting as shown above.
- Go to the Tools menu, choose Accounts, and click on the Mail tab.
- Select the oak mail account from the list and click on "Properties" to the right.
- On the properties window, select Advanced tab at the top.
- Under Outgoing Mail, select "This account requires a secure connection"
- Under Incoming Mail, select "This account requires a secure connection"
Existing Accounts
- Ensure that you are using Outlook Express version 6
- Go to the Tools menu, choose Accounts, and click on the Mail tab.
- Select the oak mail account from the list and click on "Properties" to the right.
- On the properties window, select Advanced tab at the top.
- Under Outgoing Mail, select "This account requires a secure connection"
- Under Incoming Mail, select "This account requires a secure connection"
