Outlook Express 6.0 Secure Configurations

New Account Set Up

  1. At the New account Wizard, enter your account information

  2. Make sure that you DO NOT select the SPA setting as shown above.
  3. Go to the Tools menu, choose Accounts, and click on the Mail tab.
  4. Select the oak mail account from the list and click on "Properties" to the right.
  5. On the properties window, select Advanced tab at the top.
  6. Under Outgoing Mail, select "This account requires a secure connection"
  7. Under Incoming Mail, select "This account requires a secure connection"

Existing Accounts

  1. Ensure that you are using Outlook Express version 6
  2. Go to the Tools menu, choose Accounts, and click on the Mail tab.
  3. Select the oak mail account from the list and click on "Properties" to the right.
  4. On the properties window, select Advanced tab at the top.
  5. Under Outgoing Mail, select "This account requires a secure connection"
  6. Under Incoming Mail, select "This account requires a secure connection"
