About Ohio University ID Cards
Your Ohio University ID card is used to verify your status as a student, faculty or staff member in good standing. Student IDs are validated by registration. Staff IDs are validated based on Human Resources records. Services that require a valid ID Card include:
- Alden Library materials check-out
- Ping Center, Aquatic Center, and Bird Arena memberships
- Bobcat Cash at vending machines and campus convenience stores
- Sporting Events, student section
- Student Meal Plans
- Building access in some locations
- Faculty/Staff e-mail activation and password resets
Cards issued after June 18 will include your name and photo, your university status and a 9 digit P number on the front. The rear of your ID includes a magnetic stripe for use in campus readers and a 16 digit ISO number.
