If your organization or project has electronic communication needs that are not covered by our joinable lists, announcement folders, or class mailing lists, you can request a Listserv. Listservs are similar to joinable lists, except that all subscription and management tasks are performed by sending commands to the Listserv system over e-mail. A list of commands and basic policies will be sent to you automatically upon creation of your Listserv.

Requesting a Listserv

To request a custom Listserv, please send e-mail to listrequest@ohio.edu with the following information:

• Your Oak ID
• The purpose of the Listserv
• The name you would like to use for your Listserv

Listserv requests are considered on a case-by-case basis.
