What is an Identity and Why Might I Need One?
An identity allows you to compile multiple sets of personal
information to use when sending and receiving email messages. For
example, your personal email messages do not necessarily need to have
your job information in the signature line. Identities would allow
you to create one set of information to be used with personal
information and another set for professional use. Or perhaps you
are known as William professionally and Bill personally. Identities
would allow you to create one set of information for William and
another set for Bill. Everything from a different signature file to a
different mailbox to which you could copy your outgoing email messages.
