Getting Started
Signing in
(Launch the application)
The Sign-In dialog allows you to access your Agenda in on-line or off-line mode. To use your Agenda on-line, you must be connected to your server. If you are using your Agenda off-line, you can only see calendar information in Agendas you have chosen to download. You can still create and edit Agenda Entries normally, but your changes will not be applied directly to the server's database. The server database will be updated the next time you connect to the server and perform a reconciliation between your On-line and Off-line Agendas. You can configure your off-line preferences in Tools | Options | Off-line.
- To work on-line, go to the Connect to area and select the name of your preconfigured server connection from the drop-down list box. If this has not been set up, click Other. The Connection Manager dialog will open, allowing you to create a new connection. If you would like to set up a new server connection, click New in the Connection Manager dialog. This will open the Connection Editor dialog. If you are not sure which node you should enter, please consult your system administrator. To work off-line, choose Off-line from the drop-down list box.
- In the User name area, type in your user name, which is the name by which the system knows you, or your user ID, if your system administrator has given you one. You can search for your name by clicking the Search button.
- In the Password area, type in your password if one is needed. Depending on your connection's authentication scheme, you may not need a password in order to sign in.

- Follow the steps above, but type the name of the Resource in the User name edit box and enter the Resource's password in the Password edit box. Resource names must be preceded by r:, re:, or res:.
- Click the Search button to search the directory for another name.
